Subject:GENE WILDER!!!!
Time:06:21 pm

Moo and I arrived at B&N around 12:45, I was thinking I was all hip because we were 15 minutes early, hoodehoo.  Right, the line was around the corner already, and I still had to go in and buy the book ("My French Whore, a love story"  boy, was I surprised).  I was all nervous because I thought we wouldn't make it before he stopped signing.  The line moved really quickly and I was thankfully proven wrong.  The whole time we waited, I mentally rehearsed what I wanted to say, "Young Frankenstein is the first movie I remember watching.  This might just be another book signing to you, but I'll remember this my whole life.  Thank you so much!"  Hubby came and met us in line.  We waited together, as the line wound between Fiction and Romance.  A B&N employee came by and told us to put away any memorabilia because they would kick us out of line if they saw it.  I put away Moo's blue blanket, I didn't want to miss my opportunity to say "Young Frankenstein is the first movie I remember watching.  This might just be another book signing to you, but I'll remember this my whole life.  Thank you so much!"  Hubby and I debated the issue.  He decided to hang on to the blanket juuuuust in case.  "Young Frankenstein is the first movie I remember watching.  This might just be another book signing to you, but I'll remember this my whole life.  Thank you so much!....Young Frankenstein is the first movie I remember watching.  This might just be another book signing to you, but I'll remember this my whole life.  Thank you so much!....Young Frankenstein is the first movie I remember watching.  This might just be another book signing to you, but I'll remember this my whole life.  Thank you so much!"  Before I knew it, we were RIGHT. THERE.  He was just this cute old man with thin, blonde hair and a familiar face.  He was wearing a blue cardigan.  We handed one lady our camera, and the book to another gentleman... "Young Frankenstein is the first movie I remember watching.  This might just be another book signing to you, but I'll remember this my whole life.  Thank you so much!"    We got up to the table, I tried to rehearse in my head one more time, but it sounded like, "Frankenstein! Frankenfirstmetterbatch!Memory!Booooook."  He didn't even look up at me.  And then I said.....
"Thank you!"
And hubby handed him Moo's blue blanket and asked him to sign it and no one yelled at us or kicked us out of line.  Gene Wilder said, "Oh." and signed it and said "hrm," when it wasn't going so well because he was using a ballpoint pen.  Anyway, he did it and we said thank you and then hubby said, "A fraelichen Pesach!"
And Gene Wilder said, "Oh, hehe, thank you."
And I said something like, "frachensach..."
And here we are.
